REMOTE WATERS.
PERSONAL HOSTING.
AUTHENTIC EXPEDITIONS.
Small-group, hosted fishing expeditions to the world’s most remote and exclusive waters.
Behind Every Destination
Overwater Expeditions works with experienced local partners to host small-group fishing trips in some of the world’s most unique and rewarding waters.
Each journey is carefully organized around seasonal conditions, local knowledge, and the character of the destination itself. From travel logistics to daily planning on the water, the goal is to create an experience that feels smooth, personal, and well prepared from start to finish.
Rather than large-scale tourism, we focus on thoughtfully hosted trips that allow anglers to experience remarkable places in a more authentic and connected way.
Bijagós Archipelago
West Africa
A remote chain of islands off the coast of West Africa, known for its rich tidal fisheries and remarkable natural beauty.
Our hosted trips explore this unique system by skiff, moving between sand flats, mangrove channels, and coastal structure in search of powerful saltwater species and unforgettable days on the water.
Guests stay in a comfortable island lodge designed specifically for anglers, offering a relaxed atmosphere, local hospitality, and direct access to the surrounding fishery.
We don’t offer a large catalog of destinations. Instead, we host a small number of carefully chosen fishing trips each year — places we know well, where local knowledge, timing, and experience help shape the journey.
Each destination is selected not only for the quality of the fishing, but also for the character of the place itself. From remote island systems to Amazonian rivers, these trips are designed to offer memorable fishing experiences in environments that still feel authentic, wild, and deeply connected to nature.
Where We Go
A blackwater river system in the central Amazon, where jungle waterways, flooded forests, and quiet tributaries create a uniquely immersive fishing environment.
These hosted trips combine daily exploration by boat with a rustic riverside structure that provides comfortable rooms, air conditioning, hearty meals, and a relaxed base for life on the river.
Focused primarily on peacock bass, the experience blends productive fishing with the atmosphere and rhythm of the Amazon itself.
Rio Preto Da Eva
Brazilian Amazon
Liveaboard Expedition
Brazilian Amazon
Deep in the upper Amazon Basin, this liveaboard-style journey explores vast river systems and remote jungle structure accessible only by boat.
Guests travel and fish directly from a fully equipped riverboat designed for extended stays in the Amazon, combining mobility, daily exploration, and comfortable onboard living throughout the trip.
Focused on peacock bass and the ever-changing conditions of the river, the experience offers a unique way to travel deeper into the Amazon and experience life on the water.
Personally Hosted
Small groups personally hosted from arrival to departure. Rather than sending anglers into a large tourism system, we stay closely involved throughout the journey — helping coordinate logistics, daily plans, and the overall experience on the ground.
Expedition Highlights
Carefully Chosen Destinations
We focus on a small number of destinations that combine exceptional fishing with unique environments and strong local partnerships. Each trip is built around places we know well and return to because they consistently offer rewarding experiences both on and off the water.
Small Group Approach
Our trips are intentionally kept small to create a more relaxed, flexible, and personal experience. Fewer anglers and smaller groups allow more attention to detail, smoother logistics, and the ability to adapt naturally to the rhythm of each destination.
